Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is a growing, team-oriented, nationwide tank construction company with headquarters located in Braddock, Pennsylvania, just outside of the City of Pittsburgh. PTS has over 130 employees and specializes in designing, engineering, repairing, and constructing above-ground metal storage tanks and related structures, including welded tanks, bolted tanks, and geodesic domes. PTS has active projects in various industries, such as petroleum, power, chemical, and renewable fuels.

Leadership
Leonard Phillips, P.E., Founder & President
Before founding PTS in 2012, Mr. Phillips began his career in the above-ground storage tank industry in 1994 as a Site Engineer with Pitt-Des Moines (PDM), a large industrial engineering and construction company specializing in storage tank construction. Over nearly two decades in the business, Mr. Phillips has worked as an Engineer, Estimator, Project Manager, Engineering Manager, and Vice President for some of the largest tank-builders in the United States. Mr. Phillips holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University of Ithaca, NY, where he graduated with distinction in 1994, and holds the following certifications:

Jeffrey K. Sassic, Vice President & General Counsel
Before joining the company in 2014, Mr. Sassic was an attorney in a law firm having one of the largest construction practice groups in the Pittsburgh region. Mr. Sassic has nearly a decade of experience as a litigator and concentrated his practice in construction, surety, commercial, and business law matters. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005. Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Sassic was a manufacturing engineer for a Fortune 500 company that manufactured electrical products, and successfully completed its Manufacturing Development Program. Mr. Sassic earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 2000.
