Welded Carbon Steel Tanks

Custom Built to Your Requirements

Welded carbon steel tanks are constructed by welding steel plates together to form a cylinder or box. They are used for industrial or commercial applications like water treatment, oil and gas storage, agricultural storage, chemical production, municipal potable water, and more. Carbon steel tanks are known for their strength and durability, resistance to corrosion, and ease of maintenance.

As a design-build contractor, Phillips Tank & Structure has the engineering and construction experience needed for successful installation of welded carbon steel tanks. Our tanks are designed and constructed per welded codes including API 650, API 620, and API 653. We also work with bolted codes such AWWA D100 and AWWA D103. Let us advise you on the most economical tank for your storage needs.

Depending on the type of construction and the product stored, shop-fabricated tanks typically range from 1,500-gallons to 50,000-gallons, and field-erected above-ground storage tanks (ASTs) typically range in size from 40,000 gallons to 5 million gallons.

We have spent countless hours developing custom, proprietary business systems to quickly find cost-effective engineered solutions for your most difficult tank problems. As a leading storage tank contractor nationwide, PTS is registered to conduct business in all 50 United States and has 100% travel field crews able to travel anywhere.
